Instructional Youth Basketball League
Middle School Girls League | 6th-8th Grade Division
Much of youth basketball today puts too much emphasis on game play versus skill acquisition and how to apply those skills during games. Basketball players must possess fundamental skills to take advantage of what they see happening on the court and be successful in the game. Many coaches fascinations with complex actions and multiple defenses gets in the way of sound teaching leading to confusion and/or missed opportunities on the court. Level One is different!
Through our one-of-a-kind instructional basketball league for Middle School girls, young athletes will learn fundamental skills, from professional coaches, to analyze situations on the court in real time. With thorough evaluation and instruction in areas like attitude and coachability, ball handling skills, passing and catching, offensive and defensive footwork, shooting, strength and endurance, game IQ and more, athletes build intuitive knowledge of the sport for long term success on ANY team!

Why choose Level One?
More Qualified Coaches
Parents of young athletes are familiar with the lack of qualified coaches in most youth basketball programs. Our coaches and instructional style are what set us apart!
Professional coaches are compensated for their talents and expertise, and come to our Level One Program with years of experience (many at high school and college levels) before attending the JD7 Coaching Academy.
Better Instruction
With a 4:1 training/coaching-to-play ratio, our qualified coaches are able to thoroughly observe, instruct, and analyze athletes abilities to provide better feedback during both practices and games. Our structured training and practice program allows coaches the capabilities to guide each athlete at their level so all players that participate can level up their fundamental skills.
Measureable Results
Throughout the season, our coaches train players in 7 areas that we have identified as critical in the advancement of a basketball athlete’s career. Players will finish the league with an understanding of how they progressed throughout the season and will leave with a Level One Player Booklet, completed by them, with visuals of plays, drills and other personal notes that they can refer to to level up their game in the off season.
