There is an ever-widening gap in youth basketball. Basketball players must have the fundamentals to take advantage of what they see on the court. Unfortunately, many coaches have a fascination with "running the play" or teaching multiple defenses, leaving many players without the individual skills they need to perform well on the court, especially as they change coaches and teams throughout their athletic careers.
At JD7 Basketball, we set out to change that. Whether your child is in our private coaching sessions, Skills Academies, travel teams, or our unique instructional league—Level One—they’ll build strong fundamentals and learn how to think on the court in real time. We’re not just teaching them how to play—we’re helping them develop the instincts and confidence they’ll need to succeed on any team, for years to come.

JD7 Basketball coaches are a consistent presence for developing athletes through every transition they will make in their athletic career.

Build upon and refine base level skills to help athletes feel ready to make the move away from recreational basketball and feel confident trying out for Middle School teams.

Learn the change of pace of the game to feel confident for team tryouts. Increase skill levels with training for more advanced dribbling, passing/receiving, shooting, and strength.

Pace of the game increases. Higher skill level and strength program needed to increase endurance for preparation of a more intense season.

Advanced coaching for high level players. Learn to play against teams from around the country and see how the game changes based on where you’re from. Feel confident playing in front of college coaches.

Pace of the game increases again with a 30 second shot clock. Practices are more intense, and conditioning/strength needs to be at the highest level. Facilitates and networks with college coaches.

Very small percentage of players achieve this level of success. Get connected with an agent/manager. Mentality as a professional player needs to improve. Receive a contract to get paid to play basketball, this is now your job. Travel the world by playing basketball.

JD7 Founder and Coach, Jessica Duleba—better known as Coach Jess—has played and coached basketball around the globe. From Poland to France and Spain, and across high school, college, and elite AAU levels, her international experience gives her a unique perspective on athletic development. This global insight allows her to identify gaps in local training programs and create athlete-centered systems that focus on true growth—for both players and the coaches who lead them.
At JD7 Basketball, many of our coaches come in with impressive playing and coaching backgrounds—including college and pro-level experience—and have worked across elementary, middle school, high school, college, and AAU travel circuits. But what truly sets them apart is their training. Every JD7 Coach goes through our in-house JD7 Coaching Academy, where they learn our core philosophies and are required to master key fundamentals before advancing. It’s not just about experience—It’s about putting athletes first and preparing them for wherever the game takes them.
JD7 Basketball Programs
Our private, semi-private and group training programs empower aspiring athletes through the use of our coaching philosophies that emphasize fundamental skill development. We offer a variety of group programs with differing commitment levels to suit all athletic pursuits. All programs help young athletes gain confidence and discover their full athletic potential.
Private/Semi-Private Coaching
Training program, locations, and schedule customized to your athletes needs. Private or semi-private 60-minute sessions include thorough evaluation and training by professional coaches who are trained in JD7’s philosophies.
Level One Instructional League
Level One is a 5-week Instructional Youth League. Two structured practices per week with an 8-game guarantee. Superior in game coaching and instruction guided by our coaching philosophies. Learn why we are a better league!
Winter/Summer Academies
Three day clinics dedicated to individual and group skill building intensives. Half and full day programs offer an alternative to summer and winter break camps. Options for offensive or defensive development focuses.
Travel Teams
AAU Travel Teams guided by JD7’s coaching philosophies and overseen by Coach Jess. Compete in Exposure Events and NCAA Certified Events.
