Private Coaching

Boys and Girls | All Ages | All Skill Levels

JD7 offers both private and group training sessions for athletes of all ages and skill levels. With years of experience and mastery of our extensive JD7 Coach training program, our coaches help athletes master basketball fundamentals that will help them on every team, and through every transition in their basketball careers; ultimately empowering young athletes to develop the confidence to succeed in basketball and beyond.

Our private and group coaching sessions are held at locations specific to your athletes needs, most commonly in gyms in Huron Valley areas like Milford, Highland and White Lake and also the Birmingham area; however, we have the capabilities to travel and train athletes at locations throughout Metro-Detroit. Sessions are 6o minutes in length and include a customized program based specifically on athletic needs. Program features may include, but are not limited to skill development trainings, strength training, agility training, post-game video analysis and evaluation and more.

Why Private Coaching?

  • The off season is the time to improve your individual skills. Build strength and endurance with a customized weight training, speed and agility or skill development program.

  • Sometimes coaches aren’t as qualified as you may have hoped. Don’t let a basketball season pass you by without growth. Our coaches will help you develop your skills no matter what your level.

  • Once cleared by your doctor to start training again; Our coaches, many who have dealt with injuries of their own like, meniscus, labrum, ACL, MCL tears and more, will put together modified programs to build back the strength and confidence to get you back on the court.

JD7 Private Coaching sessions are customized based on athletic needs and include training in ball handling, passing/receiving, attitude, footwork, shooting, game IQ & more.

  • Brand new players sometimes lack the confidence to put themselves out there and sign up for a team. Our coaches help build baseline skills and comprehension of the game so your young athlete feels confident playing on their first team.

  • Expectations change quickly from season to season. JD7 Coaches know the focus and skill level athletes should be at to successfully make the team, keep up with pace and changing intensity at each level of playing.

  • Basketball is a team sport. Sometimes team needs are different and our coaches are available to review post game footage and develop a customized training program to help your athlete spend more time on the court.

“We found JD7 and Coach Jess last year when my son was 9. He hadn't played team sports for a few years and really wanted to get more skilled at basketball before joining a team. Jessica's relatability and positive attitude has made such a huge impact on my son. It kept him motivated, enthusiastic, and determined to succeed. My son doesn't have binocular vision and Jessica was very thoughtful in the way she formulated training programs so that he can be successful playing against other athletes despite those setbacks.
